Commissioned by Rihanna’s Creative Director, SRND created a career spanning stop motion collage of found footage, photography, video elements and hand drawn typography to represent this pinnacle moment in the global superstars career as she received the first ever American Music Awards ICON Award. Working directly with Jay-Z to develop an emotional opening narration, the result was a visceral, dynamic “look book in motion”. SRND crafted in a career spanning timeline of her achievements that accompanied her live performance after she received the 1st ever ICON Award.

SRND was directly commissioned by Rihanna's Creative Director to represent Rihanna with visual content that is reflective of her personality, a performer and her monumental achievements as she performed during the American Music Awards and received the first ever ICON Award in the 50 year history of the AMA's.

Approach

SRND created a look book in motion that involved sourcing, re-creating and composing hundreds of images and videos that represented the timeline of Rihanna's career and her achievements.

Result

Thinking outside of the traditional tools SRND crafted the necessary edge for Rihanna that framed her performance and acceptance speech during this pinnacle moment on live prime time television.
